I would suspect that almost any seat could be "modified" to fit. It would probably be more cost effective to get it repaired by an upholstry shop or get a replacement from a wrecker.

 

Recaro seats would be cool.

 

I had a Trailblazer SS. It looked like if the un-bolted the seat from the base, they would fit the SSR. I thought about doing this because the Trailblazer seats had "SS" in the seat back.

 

I think the only drawback would be the headrest, I think the SSR headrests are designed to assist in a rollover where as any other seat would easily give way. Sure, the chances are slim, but they do happen. Not sure I would want to give that up or not.

I would also like to say if you go thru a state inspection it might not past, since it is a safety item.

 

The SSR seats have the side airbags incorporated into them, so I don't know if you'd want to randomly replace them?!
