Today I got my new radar detector and it has a built in compass, had to a do a 360 in the parking lot to set up the compass and so far it is working great. Didn't see any radar traps so I don't know about the radar yet, but the trip to St.Louis next week will probably solve that.

I just installed the v7000 Wayfinder compass and in/out thermometer. The only problem is the ashtray will not open when the unit is in place. I guess I am lucky I don't smoke. Fortunately the power outlets on either side of the ashtray are available. Seems to work well. I ran the outside temp sensor over to the passenger door jamb and tucked the wire up behind the carpet. So far so good.

The Silver Bullet radar detector came with a coiled cord, a 3 ft. long straight cord, a visor mounting bracket, suction cups to mount to dash, and a window braket with suction cups. the braket that attatched to the window also is a battery pack so it can be used cordless. It also has the neat feature of flipping the letters of the compass for when you use it on the visor and you turn it upside down the compass is still readable.. and it is silver so it matched the interior of the SSR.
